Mary Ann joined the Morrissey Law team in early 2018 following the completion of her Honours in Law and Diploma of Legal Practice in 2017 and admission to the Supreme Court of New South Wales in February 2018.
Her prior studies included a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in accounting in 2015 at the University of Newcastle, as well as studying abroad when awarded the New Colombo Plan Scholarship by the Australia Government to study in Vietnam in 2016
Prior to joining Morrissey Law + Advisory, Mary Ann was a legal research assistant to a local barrister and worked in and volunteer with various firms and community legal centres in the Hunter region.
With a particular interest in employment law in the commercial sector, along with significant experience in construction dispute litigation and security of payment processes, Mary Ann covers a wide range of matters for Morrissey Law clients.
Mary Ann has worked on many complex construction and commercial matters, demonstrating a sophisticated understanding of the sector and industries. Always fast to familiarise herself with her clients’ operations, situation, and needs, Mary Ann provides effective and timely advice with her clients’ beneficial commercial outcomes in mind.
