Belinda has significant experience in all areas of construction and infrastructure law,
in both advisory and contentious matters.
Belinda advises principals, contractors, consultants and project managers in the establishment and administration of building projects. She has a special interest in assisting her clients to understand, price and manage the key risks for each project, to build project relationships and to minimise disputes. Belinda’s work in establishing those relationships is uniquely informed by her significant construction litigation experience.
Belinda has provided training to clients and national industry bodies in contract administration and Security of Payment legislation. She is a guest lecturer for the School of Built Environment at the University of Newcastle.
Belinda is an experienced commercial litigator in court proceedings, arbitration, expert determination, mediation and adjudication. She has acted in significant construction, commercial, Security of Payment and home building disputes in NSW, Qld, A.C.T., NT and WA. Belinda is committed to resolving disputes on a practical and commercial basis.
Belinda is based in Newcastle and regularly works in our Sydney, Port Macquarie and Central West offices. She enjoys travelling to regional areas and is usually accompanied by her faithful dog. Outside work, Belinda enjoys her time with her two children, camping, music, politics, food and wine.
